Well the SEO school bus has been out looking for new domains, and industries to do some SEO for. I’ve purchased 4 domain names and will be testing various SEO techniques on each to see what has the greatest effect. I’ve tried to pick different industries, but keywords that are similar in competitiveness.

I’ll be looking for a few things when I try this. First What link building strategy works better than the others. I’m going to try various combination’s of link building, so one may only be using article marketing and another may be a combination of article marketing and niche directories. My time frame on this is going to be 3 months, and I want to then reveal what my findings were. I don’t want to be writing in hypotheticals too much, so instead of my examples of organic dog biscuit websites, I’ll actually have sites that I’m trying to make money on.

I will be monetizing through adsense on two of them, and an affiliate on another. I’m hoping that will shed some more light on which one made me the most money. The goal here is to be able to develop a lose set of steps that will take a brand new domain name to first page rankings on the big G.

Just wanted to drop a quick note here from the SEO school bus. I wanted to extend an invitation to anyone that would like to leave a guest post here, I’ll make you student-teacher for the day, and we can have show and tell… If you’ve got a nugget or something that you want to share with the SEO school bus students, shoot me an e-mail or drop a comment if you’re interested. This is something that I want to be as an ongoing offer. Of course I would prefer it to be related to SEO, and “white hat”. This can be your chance to show your SEO “Guru” clout.

In true School Bus form, I wanted to give you a couple references to some of what I would consider the Senior class students who I’ve been gleaning from whenever I get a chance. By doing this I hope to set the tone for what we are all about here.  The first site I would recommend is Court’s no non-sense, results driven advice on how to make a website profitable with Smart SEO among other things. Also Court’s partner in crime, (figure of speech) of course would be Mark’s key word academy. His one of his more recent post’s, 30 articles in 30 days, proves that he is down in the trenches alongside us. I hope one day either one of them will make a guest appearance on The Bus.

As I’ve said before I learned more from my classmates on the way to school than I ever did at school. Obviously there are many other soruces to help you learn SEO, and plenty of SEO programs, and I will continue to share only the best of my knowledge and others.
