I ‘fondly’ remember the first time I purchased auto insurance for my car (I hope the sarcasm passed). It was a tricky and confusing list of decisions I had to make. At first my aim was basically to obtain very cheap car insurance. But then I realized it’s not so trivial: purchasing really cheap auto insurance means giving up a lot of protections that a more expensive auto insurance provides (such as medical coverage, car theft, etc).
That was the moment where I began conducting research on the subject. I read a great deal about the subject which is ‘exciting’ (sarcasm..), but this has proven to be very useful as I was both able to get a respectable auto insurance, from a respectableprovider, at an not too expensive price.
Even better, I learned that things could get even more problematic, and my scenario is not that complicated: for example car insurance for teenagers is really expensive because teenagers are prone to accidents (statistically speaking), so once your teenage daughter gets his/her license, your insurance company is bound to raise your premium. That being said, this is an issue I don’t need to be concerned over for at least 10 more years (my son is currently 3).
Fortunately for us all, the internet is a rich source of useful information. In fact, many sites allow you to compare auto insurance quotes from various providers. I highly recommend visiting these websites: not only you will learn a lot, but you are also certain to finish with a much better (and less expensive) auto insurance than you would’ve otherwise.
