I ‘fondly’ remember the very first time I bought auto insurance for my car (I am hoping that the sarcasm passed). It was a subtle and perplexing list of decisions I had to make. In the beginning my goal was basically to obtain very cheap car insurance. But then I realized it’s not so simple: obtaining really cheap auto insurance means giving up a lot of protections that a more expensive auto insurance provides (such as medical coverage, auth theft, etc).
That was the moment where I began conducting research on the subject. I read a great deal about the subject which is ‘fun’ (sarcasm..), but this has proven to be extremely useful as I was both able to get a respectable car insurance, from a respectableprovider, at an relatively cheap price.
Even better, I learned that things could get even more difficult, and my scenario is not that complicated: for example car insurance for teenagers tends to be quite expensive because teenagers are prone to accidents (statistically speaking), so once your teenage son gets his/her license, your insurance company is bound to raise your premium. Fortunately, this is an issue I don’t need to be concerned over for at least 10 more years (I have a 3 year old son).
Luckily for us all, the internet is a superb source of fantastic information. In fact, many websites allow you to compare auto insurance quotes from various providers. I highly recommend visiting such sites: not only you will learn much, but you are also bound to finish with a much improved (and cheaper) car insurance than you would’ve otherwise.
